Model Internals

Each PhenDB model is trained on sets of bacterial ENOGs (orthologous groups from EggNOG 4.5), which have or have not been identified in the training genomes. Each ENOG is given a weight, with the magnitude of the weight being the importance of that ENOG for the final prediction. The sign of the weight indicates whether the presence (positive weight) or absence (negative weight) of this ENOG is indicative of the trait.

This table lists the 250 highest-ranking ENOGs of this model.
